Dr. Cecilia Leung
Founder | Clinical psychologist

Dr. Cecilia Leung holds a Master's degree in Clinical Psychology and a PhD in Psychology from the Chinese University of Hong Kong, and is a professional member of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT). She has many years of experience assessing and treating autistic adolescents and adults and their families; she has published numerous internationally recognized research papers on autism. She has collaborated with over 20 primary and secondary schools and social welfare organizations. She believes that when adults live with ease and confidence, children can naturally grow up in love and security.

Dr. Ricky Tso
Registered Educational Psychologist

Prof. Ricky Tso is presently an Assistant Professor in special education at a local university. He was an Assistant Professor at EdUHK from 2017 to 2023, where he served as the supervisor and co-founder of the Psychological Assessment and Clinical Research Unit. In 2022, he was selected as one of the Emerging Research Scholars. He obtained his PhD (Education Psychology) from HKU and is a registered teacher, a registered practitioner in educational psychology and Associate Fellow in Hong Kong Psychological Society, as well as a Member of Register of Educational Psychologists accredited by Department of Health. His work aims to uncover the neuro-cognitive mechanisms of learning, particularly in special populations, and translate his research findings into practice. He published in various international academic journals such as Psychological science, Psychonomic Bulletin & Review, and Clinical Infectious Disease. Prof. Tso's work aims at improving our understanding of learning and cognition and for developing effective interventions to support students with diverse learning needs.

Ms Dora Pang
Learning and Development Coach

Graduated with a Bachelor of Social Sciences in Psychology from the University of Essex, UK, and a Master of Arts in Counselling and Guidance from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. A member of the Hong Kong Psychological Society, her expertise lies in supporting students and families with diverse neurological needs. With over ten years of school and clinical experience, she designs courses and materials and leads training groups for students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and Dyslexia. She also develops individualized learning plans and provides counseling to parents.

Ms Sarah Tam
Practicing counselor

Ms. Tam completed her Master of Social Sciences (Counseling) program at the University of Hong Kong and her Master of Science in Disability Studies at the University of Leeds, UK. She actively participates in local disability rights initiatives. Regarding parenting, in addition to focusing on supporting parents of children with disabilities, she also pays attention to the impact of family interactions on other adolescents.

Dr. Raymond Chan
Clinical psychologist

Dr. Chan is an experienced clinical psychologist with over 30 years of clinical experience. He previously worked as a senior clinical psychologist at Kwai Chung Hospital and now works in private practice, providing consulting services to various non-governmental organizations to develop innovative mental health services. For the past 10 years, Dr. Chan and his team have focused on developing effective and evidence-based intervention methods to assist individuals with autism and their parents.

Prof. Joyce Ma
Emeritus Professor of Social Work,
The Chinese University of Hong Kong

Professor Ma is an Emeritus Professor of Social Work at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, an Accredited Supervisor of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT), and a Justice of the Peace in Hong Kong. She previously served as President of the International Association for Family Therapy, specializing in family therapy and mental health. Professor Ma is a prolific author, having published 9 books and 123 journal articles, and will soon be publishing a new book with her team, Multi-Family Therapy and Mental Health: Clinical Applications and Treatment Outcomes.

 

Professor Ma currently provides family therapy supervision to Dr. Leung.

Dr. Cindy Tam
Psychiatrist

Dr. Tam graduated from the Chinese University of Hong Kong and was admitted as a Fellow of the Royal College of Psychiatrists of the United Kingdom. She later obtained her Fellowship in the Hong Kong College of Psychiatrists, her professional psychiatric qualifications, and a Master of Science degree in Healthcare Management. Dr. Tam is a privately practicing psychiatrist. In recent years, she has actively researched children's emotional and behavioral problems and their connection to family relationships, hoping to promote the message of "harmonious family relationships lead to happy children's growth." She highly values ​​the cooperation between medical professionals, families, and schools to create a collaborative culture and promote a mental health-friendly school and family atmosphere so that every child can grow up with peace of mind!

Dr. Lam Wai Ka Alpha
University Lecturer | Registered Social Worker | US Certified Philosophy Counselor

Dr. Lam has over ten years of frontline, supervisory, service management, and teaching experience in case handling and counseling. His practice and research areas are on existential phenomenology, logotherapy, and family social work. He has ​published articles in international academic journals discussing the meaning of suffering and hardship.
